Due to this problem, staff struggle with arriving on time for work, forcing many into residential areas where parking disruption causes major inconvenience for nearby residents.<\/p>\n

UHNM Trust plans for a multi-storey car park at Grindley Hill Court are being approved by the Council’s Planning Committee, who voted unanimously in favour of their plans. Existing hospital staff accommodation on site will be demolished to make way for it and members of the Committee voted in favour.<\/p>\n

UHNM’s staff parking facilities are already severely oversubscribed, with car parks situated over one mile from its main hospital building causing issues for those working nearby. While some hospitals rely on temporary car parks – this usually means staff have to walk or wait for transport in order to make it to work on time – UHNM’s director of estates noted that moving staff parking closer to hospital site would reduce these problems while increasing staff punctuality.<\/p>\n
